Hi fellow bikers and bike lovers.

I’ve been riding Bikes from the age of 15 both on & off road (though not always by choice) those of you that have ‘Kissed the tarmac’ & had gravel rash will know what I mean.

In my time I have ridden all sorts, from a 50cc Raleigh Runabout to the BMW 1100cc K1 and enjoyed all but 1 of them, a Kawasaki 250cc Triple that stopped every time it rained – nothing would cure it! [Suzuki X7, Honda Revere, Virago 1100, BMW K75RT and today a 650 Honda Deauville]

Miraculously, having been a bit of a lad in all sorts of minor scrapes with the law, a Gambler who lost our family home and having had all sorts of jobs, such as: Merchant Navy, Salesman, Fitter Welder, small Plant mechanic, Motorcycle Courier, Cook, Pressure Washer Salesman/Engineer, Bus Driver etc. …….. I became an ordained Baptist Minister in 1996.
Many family and friends have believed in miracles ever since!

Through all these life changes the one constant companion was my bikes.
I met and married Wendy and had 2 children Kris & Sabrina (they were toddlers when we lost the house) and thankfully Wendy stood by me through all my years of being a completely selfish Pratt and eventually her prayers were answered and I became a Christian and gradually got my life sorted.

In 2000, having just recovered from a brain tumour, Wendy was diagnosed with cancer and was in and out of hospital for the next 4 years and died in December 2004.
In the last 2 years of her life I started to do Funerals to earn extra money so that I could give her the best I could in the time she had left.
I saw some really awful funerals in that time – we’ve all been to one I’m sure.

I’ve always believed a funeral should celebrate the life of the deceased and help those that knew and loved them have the service they need, so I left being a church Minister and started “Life Celebration Funerals” and have done over 2000 plus funerals as people spread the word.
Darting around on my trusty bike arranging & conducting funerals and known as ‘The Biking Vicar’ in the Bradford, Halifax, Dewsbury and Leeds area.

I was shocked to realise how many people I was burying younger than me and how unexpectedly death can come (I’ve been T-boned twice in the last couple of years).
It made me think about my own funeral, I didn’t want to go out in a car, so I looked to see what Motorcycle Hearses were available. About the only one in this country was a Sidecar Hearse Outfit which didn’t appeal to me and was patented anyway.
I saw a couple of Trike Hearse outfits but nothing that looked as though it was meant to be, they were Trikes pulling something converted, so I decided to have my own custom built Trike Hearse and start condicting my own Motorcycle Hearse Funeral Services. (SEE Building The Hearse).
